To celebrate the holiday today, we are offering a free serving of our Traditional Nepalese Kheer with every meal!!

What is Kheer? Kheer is a traditional Nepalese and Indian dessert. It is a rich, creamy rice pudding made with ghee, milk, and aromatic spices like cardamom, cinnamon, and cloves.
Our Secret “Grandma’s Recipe”

There are many ways to make this treat, but at B-Hat’s, we follow our family’s old school Nepalese style. Here is how we craft it:

Sauté the Spices: We start by heating ghee and frying cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, and cashews until they are golden brown and fragrant.

Toast the Rice: We add Jasmine rice to the spices and fry it for a couple of minutes to lock in the flavor.

Slow Simmer: We add a gallon of whole milk (and a splash of water) and let it cook slowly over low heat for 10–15 minutes.

Finish with Sweetness: Once the rice is translucent, we add sugar to taste and cook for another 5 minutes.

Rest and Serve: After resting for 10 minutes, it’s ready! It is delicious warm, but if you chill it in the fridge, the flavors deepen and it tastes even better.
